David has lived and worked in South Carolina since 1993. Originally from North Carolina, he grew up playing many sports including baseball, tennis, basketball, golf, and surfing.

Surfing took over as his primary sporting passion upon relocating to the beach, and soon he began traveling to surf destinations such as Hawaii, Costa Rica, California, Puerto Rico, and all of the southeast US. The love for travel and surfing has inspired him to work as a freelance surf photographer since 2003. Recently, David has established a semi-permanent presence on the island of Puerto Rico in order to work with surfers there.

Tennis is another sport which always inspired and challenged David as a player in his own right, and he is now photographically documenting tennis on all levels of play. Whether with players from the Myrtle Beach Tennis Center, or some of the tournaments around the area, he is dedicated to creating quality shots that show the strength and beauty of both tennis and tennis players.
